It was years before I discovered that you could make this fairly exotic ingredient. I was quite cross as I now use it much more widely, I have stopped avoiding recipes that list it as an ingredient which I used to do because I didn't have any in the cupboard
This preserve is so, so expensive to buy but super easy - and tasty - to make. A great gift for a ginger-loving friend or a keen cook as well. Great hamper candidate as well. Many are now growing their own ginger as well - it is relatively easy to do and could lead to the complete nose-to-tail experience!

Our Workshops are friendly, no experience of cooking or preserving is necessary and we try to use everyday, familiar equipment. You can cook along with the Live Workshop or use the recording which will be place in The Library of the School soon after the Workshop finishes
