Nothing is as evocative of a walk by the sea in Greece as opening a pack of dried oregano. The absolute staple for any Mediterranean dish use it leberally in tomato based preserves and making barbeque rubs or sauces. Its easy to grow in the garden but I can't guarantee it will bring the heat of Greece to the English climate!
