Would like to just state what a wonderful service dealing with Rosie and Trevor has been despite not actually using my new pressure canner yet. I can't wait to get on with it and feel very confident given the full kit I purchased with the booked and guides it came with. With the added bonus of thumbing through all the amazing videos on their excellent website. I first picked up the phone before buying as I just wanted to speak to a human being before dipping my toes into the world of pressure canning. I spoke with Trevor and immediately know I was buying from a very proud business. Tie that with all the resources they've carefully put together, I was ready to part with my money. I was told due to the growing popularity that there would be a slight delay in receiving my ordered goods but that was fine. I'd already made my mind up that I was dealing with the right people. It was delivered very recently and I'm busy familiarising myself with the books and equipment and plan to start making my family some delicious meals which I know we can grab when we need to and be confident knowing what's actually in it! What is the Presto Pressure Canner?

The Presto pressure canner is a generous size and robustly engineered from quality aluminium with a durable polished finish. It has a very clear gauge to accurately measure the processing pressure.

What can it be used for?

The Presto 23 Quart Pressure Canner provides a safe preservation method for low acid foods including: Vegetables, Fruits, Meats, Seafood, Jams, Jellies, Pickles, Salsa.

These pressure canners are designed for domestic food preservation only. Commercial, laboratory, substrate sterilisation, or other non-food uses are outside expected domestic canning behaviour. Operating the canner beyond its intended design capabilities is carried out at the owners risk and the manufacturer accepts no responsibility for the canners performance or unintended consequences.

How can I use the Presto Pressure Canner?

The Presto 01781 Pressure Canner has a flat solid base and can use used on an electric, flat smooth-top, and gas hobs. It is not suitable for induction hobs (view 01784 induction model).

Heat Source Warning

Note: Do not use on gas burners with a heat output above 12,000 BTUs, or electrical hobs above 3.5kw, or outdoor LP gas burners whatever the rating. Rapid or excessive heating, or rapid cooling, may cause the canner base or body to warp. Excess heat or prolonged heating can cause the canner to run dry and may result in damage the the base or body. Please bear in mind the weight of a full canner and check your hob can accommodate it.
