I've put over 100 jars through Rosie's TPS22 Pressure Canner in the past month, and it's been faultless. It's simple to use, holds pressure well, and feels solid and well made. I use it on both an induction hob and a woodfired Rayburn, and it performs brilliantly on both. If you're unsure because it's not a big American brand, don't be. It's a quality canner that works brilliantly. Customer service is second to none and I'm grateful to Rosie for going out of her way to make sure I got a great service. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. (NB I wasn't paid for this review, it's an honest to goodness great product that I've ragged the past month without issues!)

Pickling Lime is a simple ingredient for a simple process. I use it to preserve eggs but there are other uses. Please follow a recipe and pay attention to the ratios of pickling lime to water that you need to use.

Generally speaking, it is very easy to mix but some residue usually settles at the bottom of the jars and is perfectly normal
